Challenge

The existing field management app for technicians was complex and slow, making it hard for technicians to manage job orders in the field.

Process

Identified the core usability and performance issues, simplified the tasks needed to operate the app, reorganized filtering and sorting of fields, and used Android's lazy-loading to limit how much data loaded at once.

Outcome

A faster, simpler Android app covering job orders, AMS, messages, and return/installation flows, rebuilt from the ground up for technicians in the field.
